Town Granary (third) is built.

1737

It is located on the site of today’s Park Street Church at today’s 1 Park Street. The town’s largest building, it has a capacity to store some 12,000 bushels. After the Revolutionary War, the building is used for town offices, and was the place where the sails for the USS Constitution are made. The building is disassembled and rebuilt as a hotel and tavern on Commercial Point in 1809.*
